The Great Indian Kapil Show is back with its third season, and who better to kick things off than the megastar himself – Salman Khan. The first episode, premiering Saturday, June 21, on Netflix, promises an solid start to the season as Salman arrives to promote his blockbuster film Sikandar, now streaming on Netflix.
From rib-tickling banter and laughter showdowns between Navjot Singh Sidhu and Archana Puran Singh to candid conversations that – the episode looks like a laugh riot.
In the trailer, Kapil Sharma asks Salman Khan about Gauri Spratt – Aamir Khan’s girlfriend. He says “Aamir bhai ne abhi fans ko introduce kiya apni girlfriend ke saath, woh ruk nahi rahe hain aur aap kar hi nahi rahe hain.” Salman cheekily says, “Aamir ki baat hi kuch aur hai. He is a perfectionist. Jab tak woh marriage ko ekdum perfect nahi kar lega…”
During a recent interaction, a journalist from Hindustan Times brought up the amusing parallel and cheekily asked Aamir if Salman Khan might also find his own “Gauri” someday. Aamir repeated the question, “Salman ko bhi Gauri dhoondh leni chahiye (Salman should also find a Gauri)?” and then, with a smile and a sigh, said, “Salman kya dhoondega ab (What will he find now).” During the same press conference, Aamir was also asked if Salman took any tips from him and Shah Rukh to settle down, to which Aamir replied, “Salman will do what is good for him.”
Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, two of Bollywood’s biggest stars, famously came together for the cult classic Andaz Apna Apna in 1994. Despite their individual superstardom and public camaraderie, they haven’t reunited for a full-fledged film since, making Andaz Apna Apna their only major collaboration to date.
Aamir Khan has been married twice and has three children. He first married Reena Dutta in 1986, and they have two kids, Junaid and Ira. After their divorce in 2002, he married Kiran Rao in 2005. They have a son, Azad, born through surrogacy. Aamir and Kiran separated in 2021 but continue to co-parent Azad and work together. Salman Khan, on the other hand, remains unmarried. He is rumoured to be dating Iulia Vantur.
