Anu Aggarwal, known for her breakout role in the cult classic Aashiqui, has offered a candid take on the issue of casting couch in Bollywood. In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, she asked, “Kahan nahi hai casting couch?” She continued, “Kya baat kar rahe ho aap? Why are we pretending? Everywhere there’s casting couch. Since life has started, there’s man and woman, and there are two energies, male and female, their union is something that everybody wants. That’s what’s entire history of Earth.” The actress further challenged the moral panic surrounding the issue. “So, what is ‘Yeh bura hai’ kya bura hai? So, at the end of the day, if you didn’t make it, kya bura hai- when you don’t use your potential, that is bura. What’s the big deal being made about casting couch?”

Actress Shilpa Shirodkar, who was recently seen in Bigg Boss 18, has tested positive for COVID-19. On Monday, the 51-year-old took to her Instagram handle to share the news with her followers, asking them to remain cautious. “Hello, people! I’ve been tested positive for COVID. Stay Safe and wear your masks!” she wrote. Reacting to the news, actress Sonakshi Sinha dropped a comment saying, “Oh god!!! Take care Shilpaaa… speedy recovery.”

Achint Kaur recently shared a video on Instagram asking for work. The video went viral on social media, and the actress received a positive response, with many people reaching out to her. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Achint Kaur talked about the pause in her acting career and said, “It was like a storm that lasted four years.” She added, “It’s not like I didn’t want to work, I couldn’t. My mother was battling cancer, and for almost five years, my life became a routine of hospitals, treatments, and caretaking. I couldn’t act even when I wanted to. I even tried giving auditions from my mother’s hospital room, but nothing came of it.” Achint revealed that she lost her mother last October.
