Ankita Lokhande and Vandana Jain are indeed one of the most adorable mother-daughter pairs. Often delighting our feeds with their heartwarming bond, the duo recently hopped on to an Instagram trend for their latest social media entry.
In the clip, Ankita lovingly plants pecks on her mother’s cheeks, as the latter pulls her closer. Their expressions as they recreated the viral trend are worth all the attention.
In her caption of the post, Ankita Lokhande wrote, “Mommy and me. Forever and ever.”
Both Ankita and her mother Vandana were dressed in traditional wear in the endearing video. While Ankita embraced charm in a brown embellished suit, her mother exuded timeless beauty in a blue and white kurta set.
Last year, Ankita paid a tribute to her mother Vandana through a post on Instagram. Her emotional note attached to the post read, “Aai, this feels really special. On days when life feels heavy, I recall the sacrifices and challenges you faced to put a smile on my face. The way you guided me throughout and led my way has always made me stronger than ever. On this Guru Purnima, I have nothing but immense love for my first Guru, who made me who I am today.”
She added, “Genuinely grateful from my heart for being the best Aai and Guru at the same time. Happy Guru Purnima.” In the photo, Ankita and her mother are draped in elegant yards, elevated by heavy jewellery.
Ankita Lokhande is currently seen in the TV show Laughter Chefs 2. In the cooking-based show, she is paired with her husband, Vicky Jain, both showcasing their culinary skills. Hosted by comedian Bharti Singh, Laughter Chefs 2 boasts a stellar line-up of contestants including Krushna Abhishek, Rubina Dilaik, Rahul Vaidya, Kashmera Shah, Mannara Chopra, Elvish Yadav, Samarth Jurel and Abhishek Kumar.
Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi returns to the judge’s seat, sharing his views on the dishes prepared by the celebrities. The show is streaming on Colors TV on Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 pm.
As for her big screen appearance, Ankita appeared in the biopic Swatantrya Veer Savarkar alongside Randeep Hooda. She portrayed Yamunabai Savarkar, the wife of VD Savarkar and impressed fans with her nuanced performances.
