Preity Zinta showers praise on Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh after their stellar performance against KKR in IPL 2025.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) co-owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is never one to miss celebrating her team’s achievements, and after Saturday’s rain-hit clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), she had a special message for her two young stars — Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh.

Following their explosive half-centuries, which pushed Priyansh to No. 9 and Prabhsimran to No. 12 on the IPL 2025 Orange Cap table, Preity took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt note lauding the openers.

Sharing a cheerful selfie with the two players post-match, Preity wrote, “Last night rain played spoilt sport, but not enough to dampen the spirits of our two young explosive openers.”

She continued, expressing immense pride in their fearless performances: “Prabhsimran has been with us from the start when he was just a teenager, and this is Priyansh’s very first IPL! I’m so proud to see both of them play fearlessly and with such maturity, complementing each other and becoming the base of Punjab Power.”

Prabhsimran Singh was in sensational form, smashing 83 runs off just 49 balls, peppered with six fours and six towering sixes. Alongside him, Priyansh Arya provided solid support, and together, they stitched a formidable 120-run opening stand in just 10.3 overs — not only the joint second-highest opening partnership of IPL 2025 so far but also the highest ever opening partnership for Punjab Kings against KKR, breaking the previous record set by Chris Gayle and KL Rahul in 2018 (116 runs).

Despite their fiery start, the match was unfortunately called off due to rain, with both teams having to settle for a shared point at Eden Gardens. Nevertheless, the brilliant partnership helped PBKS leapfrog to fourth place in the points table, keeping their playoff hopes firmly alive, while KKR remained seventh.
