The Mumbai police chargesheet in connection with the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case has confirmed that it was the actor’s elder son, Taimur Ali Khan, who took him to the hospital in the wee hours of January 16, 2025. As reported by the Free Press Journal, the charsheet revealed that Saif was bleeding heavily after the knife attack when a house help stopped an auto and Kareena asked him to rush to the hospital.
At this point, Taimur decided to accompany Saif to the hospital. Reportedly, the actor’s son was adamant as he said, “I will go with Papa.” Therefore, Saif was accompanied to the hospital by staff member Hari and Taimur.
Previously, IANS had reported that Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw by his elder son Ibrahim. Reportedly, Ibrahim, 23, aided his bleeding father to get onto the three-wheeler after the car was not yet ready to depart due to the unavailability of the driver at that time.
Meanwhile, the chargesheet also shared details of Saif Ali Khan’s statement, who revealed what really happened on the fateful night. “That evening, I had dinner with my sons around 7.30 pm. At 10 pm, I went to my bedroom. My wife arrived home around 1.30 am. Around 2 am, while we were sleeping, Jeh’s nanny came to our door shouting that a man with a knife had entered Jeh’s room,” he said.
Saif also mentioned that his altercation with the intruder began after he confronted him. Following this, the man stabbed him, inflicting injuries on Saif’s neck, back, hands, chest, and legs. When Jeh’s nanny tried to intervene, he attacked her too.
For the unversed, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an intruder at his Mumbai residence in the wee hours of January 16. The accused, named Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, was arrested a couple of days later and is currently in jail. He has been accused of breaking into Saif Ali Khan’s Mumbai residence with the intent of robbing. He has also been accused of attacking the actor and his staff member using a wooden weapon and a blade.
