Taking a swipe at Congress, Assam Minister said that the grand old party ‘tried to sabotage democracy in Assam’.

Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika on Monday claimed that Congress supporters attacked Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s convoy with bottles.
Taking to social media, Hazarika said, “This is how Assam Congress tried to sabotage democracy in Assam. Today, their goons attacked the Chief Minister of Assam with bottles; tomorrow, these same goons will launch grenades? These cowards will not be spared – both electorally and legally.”

He also shared a video that shows a bottle being thrown in the direction of the CM’s car.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, CM Himanta visited the historic Rang Ghar in Sivasagar, the 18th-century Ahom Royal Sports Pavilion and inspected the works of the comprehensive beautification project in Sivasagar.
The government has launched an extensive beautification project aimed at preserving this historic site and enhancing its appeal as a popular tourist destination.
