The fourth season of the Emmy-winning show The Bear has returned with all ten episodes dropping at once. The binge-worthy series created by Christopher Storer follows chef Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto (played by Jeremy Allen White) as he attempts to turn his late brother’s sandwich shop in Chicago into a fine-dining restaurant. Premiered on June 25 on Disney+, the show has been winning the hearts of audiences with its high-stakes drama.

Season 4 of The Bear picks up after the tense finale of the previous season, where a brutal restaurant review left Carmy and the fans in darkness as they were unsure about the future of Carmy’s culinary dreams. Season 4 is back with its full cast, including Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colon-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Molly Gordon, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Jeremy Allen White.

The early reactions suggest that the fans are feeling the heat in the best way possible. One fan wrote, “Despite what critics are saying, THE BEAR S4 is a return to form. If S3 was navigating depression, S4 is about healing, communicating, and letting go. The conversations still feel so real, and steer the show back on path to being one of the best that television has to offer.”

“The Bear Season 4, episode 7 was a MASTERPIECE. It was tasteful. It was elegant. It had tremendous heart. It had Bob Odenkirk. Who should really be winning an award for that exceptional 5 minutes of screen time he had,” read a comment.

“I’m a couple of episodes in, and it’s better and more focused than last season. No stupid cameos so far. Central characters in focus. Also, still definitely not a comedy.” Another fan commented, “Watched up to episode 4 so far and think it’s been excellent. Such a beautifully shot and acted show.” Someone else noted, “On episode 9. I’ve loved it so far.”

As per fan reviews, The Bear Season 4 is a return to form. “If Season 3 was navigating depression, Season 4 is about healing, communicating, and letting go,” one fan noted, explaining that in this season, the conversations felt real, which steered the show back on the path to being one of the best that television has to offer.

Additionally, Season 4’s significant shift in tone and pacing from the previous season has also been appreciated by the fans. “Just finished episode 6 myself; definitely a step up from S3… While it has not hit the highest of S2 yet, at least it feels like the story is finally making some forward momentum,” one fan explained. Others pointed out the binge-worthiness of the show and commented, “I binged the whole show last night. The personal development of the characters is striving more than ever now, and I hope there is another season.”
