Hours after Varun Dhawan penned a strong note urging the media for to respect privacy and dignity of the grieving families, Janhvi Kapoor also showed her support to his message. While Varun did not directly name anyone in his post, the actor’s note comes right after Shefali Jariwala’s death on Friday night. In his message, Varun urged media to show more sensitivity during moments of grief, and added that this isn’t the way someone would want their last journey to be covered. Janhvi Kapoor agreed with Varun’s post, and she re-shared his post on Instagram.
Janhvi Kapoor took to her Instagram stories to re-share Varun Dhawan’s message in which he urged media to respect privacy during grief. Along with the post, Janhvi wrote, “Finally someone said it,” echoing his call for respectful coverage. Check out her Instagram story below!
In his post, Varun Dhawan wrote, “Again one more passing of a soul being insensitively covered by the media. I just don’t understand why do u have to cover someone’s grief everyone looks so uncomfortable with this how is this benefitting anyone. (Heartbreak emoji). My request to my friends in the media this isn’t the way someone would want their final journey covered.” This comes after photos and videos of Shefali’s husband, Parag Tyagi, and her parents crying inconsably during the last rites were widely circulated on the Internet.
Shefali Jariwala’s Death
Shefali Jariwala passed away on Friday night in Mumbai. She was 42. The Kaanta Laga star was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai by husband Parag Tyagi, and three close aides. She was declared brought dead.
Janhvi Kapoor And Varun Dhawan’s Upcoming Project
Meanwhile, on the work front, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor will soon be seen in the film ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’. The rom-com will mark Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s second collaboration after their 2023 film Bawaal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Written and helmed by Shashank Khaitan, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is backed by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and the director himself.
