Filmmaker Aanand L Rai celebrated his 54th birthday today, June 28. On the special occasion, his production banner paid a tribute to the director via a touching post on Instagram. The video features behind-the-scenes glimpses from the filming of his upcoming directorial, Tere Ishk Mein. It shows Rai deeply involved in his craft while also engaging in some light-hearted moments with the team, including the lead pair – Dhanush and Kriti Sanon.
A heartwarming moment also captures Dhanush caressing the director as he instructs the team about the scene to be shot next. Kriti Sanon also seems to have developed a strong bond with Aanand L Rai. A glimpse in the clip shows her resting her head on his shoulder, highlighting her deep admiration and affection towards the filmmaker. The vibe on the sets appears to be chill as Rai is also seen enjoying cricket with the cast and crew of the film.
The side note of the post read, “The man who turns Ishk into cinema. Happy birthday to the magician of emotions, chaos, and unforgettable love stories.”
Kriti Sanon, set to play the female lead in Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein, also extended her wishes to the director. Sharing BTS pictures from their upcoming film, she wrote, “Happiest Birthday Aanand L Rai sir!! It’s been such a pleasure working with you and a journey I’d never forget.. Your vision, your passion and your heart that is full of so much love- makes you so special!! Keep spreading love the way you do! And pls keep making the love stories you do and making our hearts smile! Love you always. Your Mukti!”
Aanand L Rai is credited for delivering numerous hits, including Tanu Weds Manu, Manmarziyaan and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The director’s upcoming film marks his third collaboration with Dhanush after Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re. While Raanjhanaa emerged as a cult classic in Indian cinema, Atrangi Re received a mixed response from fans.
Coming back to Tere Ishk Mein, the film is touted to be the spiritual sequel to Raanjhanaa, which recently completed 12 years of its release. The much-awaited film is scheduled to release on November 28.
