Actor Shefali Jariwala, best known for her appearance on Bigg Boss 13 and the popular remix track Kaanta Laga, passed away late Friday, reportedly after suffering a heart attack.
Sources indicate that she had been undergoing anti-ageing treatment for the past five to six years, to improve skin texture and promote a younger look.
Jariwala is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest at her Mumbai home. Late-night footage showed her husband, Parag Tyagi, urgently taking her to the hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival by doctors.
Her body has been sent for a post-mortem to unearth the exact cause of death, and the results are expected by today (Saturday).
Anti-Ageing Process Linked To Her Death?
The anti-ageing treatment Shefali Jariwala was reportedly undergoing involved the use of Vitamin C and Glutathione, a drug commonly used for skin lightening and detoxification.
A doctor familiar with such procedures noted that these medications are cosmetic in nature and do not have a direct effect on cardiac health, reported NDTV.
However, the precise cause of Jariwala’s sudden death will only be confirmed following the results of the post-mortem examination and forensic analysis.
Shefali gained widespread recognition in 2002 with the hugely popular music video Kaanta Laga. She later featured in the Bollywood film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan.
Over time, she made a shift to television, appearing with her husband Parag Tyagi on the dance reality show Nach Baliye. She further expanded her TV presence by joining the cast of Bigg Boss 13.
