Falaq Naaz has sparked controversy online after slamming viral celebrity outfits in a new video. Without naming her, Falaq called out Khushi Mukherjee’s recent fashion choices and asked the government why there are penalties for feeding stray dogs, but none for public displays of nudity.
Television actress Khushi Mukherjee has been the talk of the internet recently, and not for her acting projects. The former Splitsvilla contestant and social media personality has found herself in the spotlight for her bold fashion choices, frequently making appearances in extremely revealing outfits that have gone viral across platforms.
While the internet remains divided over her clothing, actress Falaq Naaz—known for her role in Sasural Simar Ka—has now weighed in on the matter, without naming Khushi directly. In a strongly-worded Instagram video, Falaq referred to Khushi only as “didi” and expressed her frustration with the government’s double standards when it comes to public decency and civic penalties.
“Hi everyone,” Falaq begins in the video. “Toh pichle baar aap sabko yaad hoga maine ek didi ke upar video banayi thi. Yaha pe na baat bahot zyada didi se aage jaa chuki hai. It is not about any XYZ person. It is something jo main government se puchna chahti hoon—ke stray dogs ke upar itna udham mach jata hai, penalties, hum log khaana nahi khila sakte, log objection lete hai.”
The actress then draws a direct comparison between penalties for feeding stray animals and the lack of regulation over provocative public attire. “Iss tarah ka kuch pehenke agar sadak par nikal rahe hai toh uspe objection kyu nahi utha rahi hai government? Media jo inko cover kar rahe hai, aur aise logon pe jo cover ho rahe hai, aise logon pe penalty kyu nahi hai? Mujhe yeh janna hai.”
Falaq also made an emotional appeal to the public to raise this question with the authorities. “So, jitne log yaha pe baithe hue hai, help me out, tag authorities, and I want the answer now ke yeh sahi hai. Aur agar yeh sahi hai toh stray dogs ko khaana khilane pe koi aawaz naa uthaaye. Agar nang pane mein aawaz nahi uthrahi, toh bachcho ko khaane khilane mein aawaz naa uthana.”
Khushi Mukherjee, on the other hand, remains unfazed as paparazzi videos of her continue to rack up views. While she has yet to respond directly to Falaq’s comments, her wardrobe choices have certainly kept social media buzzing—and now, they’ve sparked a wider debate around societal norms, personal freedom, and public decency.
