Samantha Ruth Prabhu was caught off guard by paparazzi after a gym session in Mumbai.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu was spotted outside her gym.

It’s not unusual for stars to be caught off guard by the paparazzi, especially when they’re not in the mood to pose or are simply going about their day. On Tuesday morning, Samantha Ruth Prabhu found herself in exactly such a moment when she stepped out of the gym in Mumbai.

Dressed in brown gym co-ords — a brown sports bra paired with matching track pants — Samantha was seen talking on the phone as she exited the building. But as the paps quickly surrounded her for photos and videos, the actress looked visibly annoyed and asked them to stop filming. “Stop it guys, please,” she said, rushing toward her car.

Caught in an awkward moment as her vehicle hadn’t yet arrived from the parking, Samantha stood waiting, clearly flustered by the attention. However, she soon regained her composure and said “Sorry, guys” to the photographers before once again requesting them to stop recording.

The video is now going viral on social media, with many fans sympathising with Samantha for being hounded post-workout, while others admired her calm, if slightly exasperated, response.

“Well I can imagine being constantly snapped for every little thing and it can be tiring – that’s no excuse but cut them some slack they are only human and not everyday it’s about being famous,” read one comment. Another read, “Everyone has their own struggles as they get up. Ye paps shuru hojathe sube sube. So one day you can smile, 2nd day you can but har roz ye cheeze toh koyi b seh nahi saktha.”

Meanwhile, Ye Maaya Chesave, the 2010 Telugu romantic drama that introduced Samantha and paired her with Naga Chaitanya, is all set to return to theatres on July 18, 2025, fifteen years after its original release. The re-release has sparked major buzz — not just for the timeless film, but for the ex-couple who once turned reel love into real.

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya first met while filming Ye Maaya Chesave. Their chemistry on-screen was undeniable, and soon after, their romance blossomed off-screen too. The two became one of South cinema’s most loved couples and tied the knot in 2017, much to the delight of their fans. But in 2021, they publicly announced their separation — a move that left millions heartbroken.

Samantha’s next project Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom—produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK—features a stellar ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Wamiqa Gabbi. She’s also set to make her comeback in Telugu cinema with Maa Inti Bangaram.
