This marks the fifth week of Diddy’s ongoing legal battle, one of the most closely watched celebrity trials in recent memory.
Kanye West was spotted at Diddy’s trial in NYC.
Kanye “Ye” West made an unexpected appearance at Manhattan federal court on Friday to show his support for Sean “Diddy” Combs amid the latter’s high-profile sex-trafficking trial. The rapper’s brief visit caused a frenzy both inside and outside the courthouse.
Dressed in a white denim jacket and dark sunglasses, West arrived just before 11:30 a.m. and stayed for approximately 40 minutes. Though he did not enter the courtroom where the main proceedings were taking place, Ye was escorted to a private overflow room where the trial was being broadcast on closed-circuit television, a source told The Hollywood Reporter. The room was opened solely for West, allowing him to watch the trial in solitude.
According to reports from CNN and the Associated Press, West indicated that he was there to support Combs. However, he did not respond when asked whether he would be testifying on Combs’ behalf. When he left the courthouse, he ignored further questions from reporters.
Meanwhile, chaos erupted across the courthouse, particularly in the main overflow room on the 24th floor. Journalists and livestreamers rushed through stairwells and multiple floors in an attempt to locate the rapper. Once word got out that he had already exited the building, the crowd gradually dispersed.
Ye also briefly interacted with Combs’ son, Christian Combs, shaking hands upon arrival, as reported by TMZ. His visit, though fleeting, drew major attention due to his own controversial public image, stemming from past antisemitic remarks and erratic online behavior.
This marks the fifth week of Diddy’s ongoing legal battle, one of the most closely watched celebrity trials in recent memory. The music mogul faces serious allegations, including abuse and sex trafficking, with testimonies from multiple witnesses, including rapper Kid Cudi. The case gained traction in late 2023 when Diddy’s former partner, Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit against him. Although the matter was settled within 24 hours for $20 million, Ventura later testified at the trial as one of Combs’ alleged victims.
