Actor Preity Zinta is upset about fake pictures going around on social media that show her with Rajasthan Royals’ 14-year-old star cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi. She said she is surprised that people are believing these false images. On Monday, videos and photos appeared online showing Vaibhav meeting Preity in Jaipur. One video showed her talking to Vaibhav and hugging him, with claims it was taken at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium. When the picture of her hugging Vaibhav got a lot of attention, Preity took to social media to say these pictures are fake.
Reposting a news article featuring the altered image, she wrote, “This is a morphed image and fake news. Am so surprised now news channels are also using morphed images and featuring them as news items.” She shared another link to a regional news report on the same video and commented, “Fake news with morphed image.”

Earlier on Monday, Rajasthan Royals’ official X (formerly Twitter) account posted a video of Preity meeting Vaibhav, captioned “Flex levels at school: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.”
The video shows Preity speaking with Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal before stepping aside, saying, “Nice meeting you.” She then mentions to Shashank Singh her desire to meet the 14-year-old Vaibhav, adding, “Come let’s go say hi to him.”
Preity Zinta walked up to Vaibhav, and they spoke for a short while. After talking, Vaibhav shook her hand. However, the video shared by the franchise does not show Preity hugging Vaibhav.
