Surbhi Jyoti recently revealed that she initially rejected Naagin 3 as she thought it wasn’t her ‘kind of acting.’

Surbhi Jyoti recently revealed a big secret about her role in the hit show Naagin 3. The actress, who rose to fame with Qubool Hai, said that she wasn’t very comfortable doing Naagin 3 initially and had actually rejected the show. She added that she was convinced by a person close to her to say yes to the drama. Recalling her meeting with Ektaa Kapoor, the actress also shared her first reaction to the script.
During an interview with Pinkvilla, Surbhi Jyoti opened up about doing the supernatural drama, saying, “It is one of the best decisions of my life. I’m glad that I did Naagin.” She also revealed that Qubool Hai and Naagin 3 were two different shows where she got the chance to play unique characters.
However, the actress also admitted that she initially wasn’t sure about the show. She stated, “I was not very convinced. I used to think that it’s not my kind of acting. ‘How will I do? How will I play this character?”
Surbhi revealed that it was her husband, Sumit Suri, who convinced her to do the show. The actress stated, “Sumit said that ‘If you want to do something in Television, why not do their number one show?’ Naagin back then was number one.”
Furthermore, she spoke about her meeting with Ektaa Kapoor, recalling, “Omg, she narrates you a story and then she has that superpower on you. Agar voh uss time bolti na chitti ka character hai, mai voh bhi karne ko tayar ho jaati. Voh itne acche se narrate karti hai (At that time, if she had asked me to play an ant, I would have done that also. She narrates things very well).”
“I sat with myself and I was convinced that if Superman can actually fly, Spiderman can make a web and something like that, then why can’t a serpent turn into a human? Why can’t we have our own superhero?” she added.
Surbhi went on to say that although the makers of Superman and Spider-Man have more money, time, and graphics, and their visual effects are superior, the makers of Naagin 3 still managed to create a fantastic show with the little resources they had. Surbhi even referred to Naagin as the “number one franchise” and commended the supernatural thriller’s third season for its storyline.
