Speculation is swirling online after BTS member Kim Taehyung, aka V, was reportedly spotted at a luxury restaurant in Seoul with singer IU on her birthday. The buzz began when photos surfaced of V dining with a woman whose face isn’t visible, but fans believe it’s IU based on her outfit and body frame.
IU turned 32 on May 16, and according to fans, the woman dining with V wore a shirt that IU has been seen in before, most recently during a live session on May 14, just ahead of her birthday. Though V is currently serving in the military, many believe he might have taken time off for the special occasion, leading to fan speculation that the two shared a private birthday dinner.
“What’s making this even more believable is the strong bond IU and V have developed in the past year,” noted fans. Earlier this year, V starred in IU’s music video Love Wins All, which earned praise for its poignant storytelling and the duo’s heartfelt performances. The post-apocalyptic-themed MV featured V and IU as a couple navigating chaos and uncertainty, and their on-screen chemistry has had fans rooting for the pair ever since.
