TV actress Aishwarya Sharma has given a sharp and witty response to some of her followers from Pakistan threatening to unfollow her after she expressed support for Operation Sindoor launched in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack. The Indian military’s response came after 26 tourists were killed in the attack.
Aishwarya called the action a “strong” and “symbolic” response.
“Operation Sindoor is a strong, symbolic response to the horrors of Pahalgam. It shows that India will act firmly when peace is shattered,” she said.
A few days ago, Aishwarya also shared a video on her Instagram where she appeared to mock those from Pakistan offended by her stand. In the caption of the video, she wrote, “Ab to Sudhar jaao Pakistan walo… sach mein koi izzat nahi karta.”
The video triggered a wave of reactions in the comments section with many users, presumably from Pakistan, expressing their disappointment. Several of them mentioned that while they genuinely liked Aishwarya as an actress, her statements and recent posts were forcing them to consider unfollowing her.
But Aishwarya didn’t stay quiet for long. She responded once again, this time with a fun twist that also carried a message. Taking a popular scene from the hit romantic comedy Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, she added her own caption to make her point. She posted a photo on her Instagram Stories that featured Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor in the well-known scene where Deepika’s character Naina confesses her feelings for Bunny, played by Ranbir.
Aishwarya captioned the post by referring to her Pakistani followers and wrote, “Pakistani people threatening to unfollow me.”
Under that, she wrote, “Me – Tum samajhte kyu nahi agar tumne mujhe unfollow nahi kiya toh tumhe mujhse pyaar ho jayega – phir se. Aur mujhe nahi hoga phir se.” She rounded off the post with a hashtag – #indiandilse.
Aishwarya began her acting career in 2014 with a role in Code Red. She later appeared in Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan and continued to build her presence on television. She became a household name in 2020 with her role as Pakhi in the romantic drama Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. The role brought her a lot of fame and love from the audience. She also worked in a web series called Madhuri Talkies.
After three years on Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Aishwarya decided to leave the show. She then joined the reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi where she finished as the second runner-up. She also took part in Bigg Boss 17 along with her husband, actor Neil Bhatt.
