Fans are super excited for Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s starrer War 2. They are eagerly waiting for new updates. Today, Hrithik Roshan dropped a major hint for co-star Jr NTR and fans on social media. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Hrithik dropped a post that instantly sparked speculation and buzz around the much-anticipated YRF Spy Universe film.
Hrithik Roshan, who reprises his iconic role of Kabir, took to his social media platforms to announce that he is planning an explosive birthday celebration for NTR on May 20, 2025. The post read, “Hey @tarak9999, think you know what to expect on the 20th of May this year? Trust me you have NO idea what’s in store. Ready?” Jr NTR celebrates his birthday on May 20.

He ignited the speculation of a major reveal from War 2 — the second instalment of the franchise being directed by the celebrated young film-maker Ayan Mukerji. Fans mentioned ‘Can’t wait’ in the comment section. Many is also guessing that teaser is also likely to be released on May 20.
War 2 brings together two of the biggest icons of Indian cinema – Hrithik Roshan as the daredevil Kabir, and pan India superstar NTR. The film is slated for a release on August 14, 2025 in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil.
The YRF Spy Universe is the biggest IP of Indian cinema today, having only delivered blockbusters with all its titles like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan and Tiger 3. War 2 is the sixth YRF Spy Universe film to release
Hrithik Roshan was last seen alongside Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor in the actioner Fighter. Apart from War 2, the actor will reportedly have a cameo appearance in Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha.
In addition, Hrithik Roshan is working on Krrish 4, a film in which he will both direct and star in. The film is expected to go on floors next year and many stars of the franchise are expected to reprise their roles, including Priyanka Chopra and Rekha.
Coming to Jr NTR, the actor is working with Prashanth Neel on his upcoming movie. More details about the project are awaited. The film marks Jr NTR’s first project with the KGF director.
