Adnan Sami has consistently been vocal about his decision to renounce his dual citizenship and become an Indian citizen in 2016. The Government of India has issued an advisory to OTT platforms, media streaming services, and intermediaries regarding content originating from Pakistan. The advisory references the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, highlighting that publishers must avoid content that affects India’s sovereignty and integrity.
