The Met Gala 2025 certainly painted our social media feeds with a medley of unforgettable looks and much-anticipated debuts of Indian stars. The event saw a dazzling array of global celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan and Kiara Advani. Now, a report has surfaced detailing the most talked-about celebrity from the Met Gala 2025. Hearing of this, one might automatically guess names like Rihanna, with her iconic Met Gala history, the ever-popular Shah Rukh Khan in his debut appearance, or even the queen of viral moments, Kim Kardashian. But clearing the bubble, neither of them has made it to the list.
The actual name topping the popularity charts might come as a surprise. It is none other than Bollywood actress Kiara Advani. Yes, you read that right. The soon-to-be mom, who is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her bundle of joy with husband Sidharth Malhotra, stepped on the gorgeous blue carpet, flaunting her baby bump in a custom-made Gaurav Gupta couture titled “Bravehearts” at the Met Gala 2025.
A day after the event, social media tracking agency Lefty rolled out its annual indices of the most impactful brands and personalities at the Met Gala. As per the list of ‘Top Key Voices’, Kiara Advani bagged the first position with an earned media value (EMV) of $15.3 million.
The star was ahead of Kylie Jenner, who was in the second spot with an EMV of $15.2 million. F1 legend Lewis Hamilton took the third spot, while Thai actor Freen and Hailey Bieber were seen in fourth and fifth positions.
According to Lefty, the Kabir Singh actress not only topped in terms of EMV but also had a high engagement rate from her posts on the Met Gala at 3.5 per cent. In contrast, Kylie Jenner’s engagement rate was just 0.3 per cent.
Draped in a custom couture creation by Indian designer Gaurav Gupta, Kiara embraced the ‘Tailored For You’ dress code by celebrating her evolution. The beauty opted for a structured black gown with dramatic, sharp sleeves. Her gown, crafted with Gaurav Gupta’s signature sculpture precision, featured an antique gold breastplate adorned with ghungroos and crystals. The ensemble also resonated with two symbolic forms, Mother Heart and Baby Heart and was joined by a chain umbilical cord, visually narrating the beautiful bond of mother and child.
As per her post, the look paid homage to the late André Leon Talley, legendary fashion editor and Black icon, through a dramatic double-panelled cape—a nod to his iconic silhouettes and influence on the fashion world.
Other than Kiara, Met Gala 2025 also saw the debut of Bollywood heartthrob Shah Rukh Khan and Punjabi hitmaker Diljit Dosanjh. Other Indian celebrities at the prestigious event included Priyanka Chopra, Prabal Gurung, Sabyasachi, Isha Ambani, Manish Malhotra, and Natasha Poonawalla.
