The producer of the Tamil film Gajaana criticised actor Yogi Babu for missing the promotional event, questioning his professionalism.

In a rare public rebuke, the producer of the upcoming Tamil film, Gajaana, has sharply criticised actor Yogi Babu for failing to attend the film’s promotional event. Speaking at the promotional function, the producer expressed his disappointment over the popular comedian’s absence.
“Where is Yogi Babu? He is not here today. Is it because you need Rs 7 lakh to be a part? First, you need to be professional and take part in the event. You don’t deserve to be an actor,” he stated, prompting murmurs from the gathered media and fans.
Yogi Babu, one of the most bankable comedians in Tamil cinema today, has worked alongside leading stars including Rajinikanth, Ajith Kumar, Vijay, and Sivakarthikeyan. Known for his impeccable comic timing and prolific output, his name has often helped boost a film’s visibility. r’s statement was justified or unnecessarily harsh.
As Gajaana prepares for its release, all eyes will now be on whether Yogi Babu or his representatives respond to the controversy or clarify the reasons behind his absence.
Meanwhile, the upcoming film Gajaana is produced, written, and directed by Prabadish Samz, and features Vedhika and Inigo Prabhakar in pivotal roles.
Set against the backdrop of an eerie, uncharted forest, Gajaana follows a group of adventurers on a quest to find the legendary ‘Naga’ stone — a mystical artifact believed to possess extraordinary powers. Their journey, however, is far from easy. As they make their way through the dense wilderness, they encounter bizarre creatures, supernatural forces, and a series of deadly obstacles that test their will and courage. The film promises a gripping blend of fantasy, mystery, and adventure rooted in ancient legends.
The ensemble cast includes Chandini, Hareesh Peradi, the late Pratap Pothan, Sendrayan, Viji, Knife Naren, Velu Prabhakaran, Rajesh, Deva, Nithiya, and Pooja Sankar.
Gajaana is being bankrolled by Four Square Studios and brings together a strong technical team to support its adventurous narrative. The film features music composed by Achu Rajamani, with cinematography handled by Gopi Duraisamy and Vinod JP. Editing responsibilities are managed by K M Riyas.
