Labour Day, observed globally on May 1, is a reminder to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of workers. And this year, on the occasion of International Labour Day, Sugee Group, a prominent name in the world of real estate developers, paid a heartfelt tribute to the unsung heroes of its success- the construction workers. In a thoughtful and creative gesture, the company launched a song sung by renowned singer Vishal Dadlani. The musical piece is dedicated to the workers whose tireless efforts often go unnoticed.
Chaitanya Pandit skillfully blended the sounds of a construction site- the rhythmic clatter of hammers and the buzz of drills into the track, giving the song a raw, immersive feel. Along with the lyricist Chirag Modi, he penned words that speak directly to the lives of construction workers, celebrating their grit and dedication.
The song launched on April 29, in Mumbai. The co-founder of the Sugee Group, Nitin Salunkhe, acknowledged the hard work of each and every worker, behind making a project successful.
He said, “At Sugee Group, our core promise of on-time delivery – something we take great pride in – would simply not be possible without the relentless dedication of our construction workers.”
“The music draws its rhythm from the bustle of a construction site, infused with familiar sounds that surround our workers each day – making the tribute deeply personal, rooted, and relatable,” Nitin added.
Vishal Dadlani, who lent his voice to the powerful tribute, also shared his emotional connection to the song. He said, “We rarely pause to acknowledge those who build our homes, often without recognition or expectation. So when Sugee Group asked me to give my voice to this song that expresses gratitude towards construction workers on Labour Day, I was genuinely moved. Lending my voice to it wasn’t just a musical decision – it was an emotional one.”
This song is more than just a tribute; it’s a reflection of the daily life of the construction workers. For the first time, these workers have a melody that tells their story-one they can listen to with pride, anytime they need a reminder of their strength.
