It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Tamannaah Bhatia has become the go-to girl for dance numbers in films. It was Kaavaalaa from Jailer that made filmmakers vividly take note of her dancing skills. What followed was a special dance number, Aaj Ki Raat, in Stree 2. Up next is Nasha from Raid 2, which stars Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vaani Kapoor. The track features her in a sizzling avatar and blends glamour with bold choreography. Tamannaah has surely made heads turn with it, with some comparing it to Aaj Ki Raat and others declaring her the undisputed queen of dance numbers.

However, as per reports, the addition of Nasha led to the film’s certification being changed from U/A 7+ to U/A 13+. But in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, producer Abhishek Pathak reveals that’s not the reason. “It’s not because of the song. We had a few cuts in the film, and we committed to a few more—that’s why the certification was supposed to change. But it’s still a U/A certification, so there’s no problem at all. These cuts don’t affect or interfere with the story in any way. The film has been cleared without any [visual] cuts. It’s U/A 13+ without any cuts right now,” he explains.

Reportedly, apart from trimming some scenes, the makers of Raid 2 also made additions to the film, including Tamannaah’s Nasha and Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Money Money. Reacting to this, Abhishek remarks, “Nasha was conceived a little later. We wanted a certain character to uplift another character, and we wanted that to come into the film in a particular way. It has been stitched very beautifully into the film.”

He further adds, “If you see the film, you won’t feel that it comes at an odd moment or was added later. It has been blended very well into the narrative. People will really enjoy it, including the song by Yo Yo Honey Singh.” As for producer Bhushan Kumar, he disagrees with the notion that including a dance number was a ‘marketing tool.’ “People might feel that in a thriller like Raid 2, the songs would seem forced. But it’s not a marketing tool. It became a part of the story so well,” he states.

He continues, “Even the last track we have by Yo Yo Honey Singh is well-linked to the film. You’ll feel that it’s connected. All four songs we have were part of the screenplay.” Talking about roping in Tamannaah for the track, producer Kumar Mangat Pathak says, “The moment we thought of this song, the unanimous opinion was to have Tamannaah in it. We decided to speak to her, so both Bhushan ji and I had a chat with her, and she came on board.”
