The Indian government on Tuesday slammed the Pakistan army and the Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations, the media and public relations wing of the Pakistan Armed Forces, for spreading misinformation and “fabricating” allegations.
“The Government of India categorically and unequivocally rejects the baseless and fabricated allegations made by the ISPR. These claims are part of a deliberate and malicious campaign to defame India. This is to divert attention from Pakistan’s well-documented history of sponsoring cross-border terrorism,” government sources told CNN-News18.
The government sources lashed out at Pakistan for “shifting blame”. “Instead of talking about perpetrators of Pahalgam attack they are shifting blame on India from day one and now this. All allegations including the arrest of an individual with supposed links to Indian officials, recovered explosives, drones, and cash, are entirely fabricated,” the aforementioned persons said.
“The names of Indian Army officers cited by DG ISPR are unverified and likely fabricated. India demands credible evidence, to substantiate such serious accusations,” the further added.
