Apoorva Mukhija, an Instagram influencer and actor, was embroiled in a major controversy over her remarks on India’s Got Latent this year. She has faced several legal actions after the incident and has been away from social media for a long time. A few days back, Apoorva made her comeback with a new video discussing the entire conflict and how it affected her and her family. In the latest, the influencer was spotted by the paparazzi stepping out in town for the first time since the issue.
The paparazzi clip showed Apoorva interacting with the photographers. She jokingly stated, “Pehle mein aaplog ko bulati rehti thi aaplog aate nahi the. Aab meine nahi bulaya aaplog kese aagaye (Initially I would call you but you wouldn’t come, Now I have not called you but you are here)” Last night, Apoorva emerged from the city wearing a short black dress.
Earlier, in her comeback video, Apoorva had opened up about how the paparazzi had followed her while she went to record her statement with the police. She mentioned how she created a strategy to trick the paparazzi. Her friend came out first and the paparazzi surrounded her, pushed her and forced the camera in her face. Apoorva went on to say that once her friend left, she emerged from the back door wearing a mask and glasses, but it was a random woman at the scene, who shouted her name and informed the paparazzi. She stated, “Main honestly itna royi hu us din. It was so dehumanising. Vo log mujhe meri gaadi ke andar nhi ghusne de rahe the, bas mujhe dhakke maar rahe the. My friend could not get into the car so they chased my friend till 1 km ki aap Apoorva ko kaise jaante ho… woh bhi traumatize ho gayi hain (I cried a lot that day. They were not letting me get inside and pushed me. Even my friend was chased for 1 km, asking her how she knows me… She was traumatized). This video went viral, it was played on National news, my family and all my relatives saw it and they called my father.”
On the work front, Apoorva appeared in Karan Johar’s film Nadaaniyan. She played Khushi Kapoor’s best friend.
