Actor-comedian Krushna Abhishek recently joined hands with his twin sons, Rayaan and Krishaang, to channel his inner Charlie Chaplin. Inspired by the iconic Chaplin film, The Kid, the comedian did a photoshoot with his sons and shared them on Instagram. Days after surprising fans with the photoshoot, Krushna has now shared a video showing him performing a funny act with one of his sons. The black-and-white video features Krushna as Chaplin, complete with the comedian’s trademark bow-tied suit, curly hair, toothbrush moustache, and a bowler hat, while his son enacts ‘The Kid,’ as shown in the 1921 film.
“The most pure moments spent with my son giving tribute to the Legend Charlie Chaplin. ‘A day without laughter is a day wasted’ – Charlie Chaplin,” he captioned the post. Krushna also gave a special mention to his wife, Kashmera Shah, and his sister, Arti Singh.
Many took to the comment section and praised the father-son duo. Comedian Sugandha Mishra posted a heart-eye emoji, while Ankita Lokhande added, “Woww Woww Wowwww.” Kiku Sharda also reacted to the post with “Too good guys.” Prior to this, Krushna dropped a series of pictures and revealed details of what inspired him to do the photoshoot. “A few weeks ago, I was watching a Charlie Chaplin movie, and the idea cracked. My guys are going to be 8 now, so this was the perfect timing for this shoot. I always wanted a special memory for us, and I captured what I wanted. Hope you like the surprise,” he captioned the post.
In a recent conversation with The Times of India, Krushna revealed being a big fan of Charlie Chaplin since he was a kid. “I have seen all his films and acts. One Day, I rewatched The Kid, in which he shares the screen with a young boy, and it instantly reminded me of my kids. I looked at the child in the film and thought, ‘They are my own kids, Chiku-Piku. Our kids also look like foreigners.’ My kids are seven now, and I thought this was the best time to click some interesting photos. This is something we will cherish forever,” he said.
During the conversation, Krushna also revealed how he kept the entire plan a secret from his wife. “She was in America at the time, and I surprised her with the pictures after she came back. She was floored,” he continued. Krushna Abhishek has been married to Kashmera Shah for over a decade now, and the couple are proud parents to twin sons, Krishaang and Rayaan.
On the work front, the couple is seen on Laughter Chefs Season 2.
