Madhuri Dixit and her husband, renowned cardiac surgeon Dr Sriram Nene, were recently spotted enjoying an outing in Mumbai’s Bandra. The couple was seen stepping out of a restaurant when the waiting paparazzi quickly surrounded them for photos. They both looked stylish and elegant in their outfits.
The ‘Dhak Dhak girl’ wore a dark blue satin shirt paired with relaxed-fit black trousers. Over the shirt, she added a sleek blazer which was left unbuttoned. To complete the look, she carried a black purse. For her makeup, Madhuri kept it simple yet flawless. Her hair was styled in a loose, open look that brought the whole look together beautifully. Dr Nene also looked charming in his outfit. He wore a stylish navy-blue shirt and paired it with matching trousers and black shoes.
As the couple made their way to their car, the paparazzi clicked away. Before getting into the car, Madhuri kindly waved and thanked the photographers with a gentle smile.
Madhuri, known for her roles in iconic films like Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, and Devdas, married Dr Sriram Nene in 1999. After their wedding, Madhuri moved to Denver, US, where she focused on her family life and took a step back from her Bollywood career. During this time, she made occasional appearances in films and on television. In 2011, Madhuri and her family decided to return to India and she shared the news on X, saying, “For all my fans, we are relocating to India! It will be good to be back home.”
Dr Nene recently shared his thoughts about their decision to move back to India on his YouTube channel. He explained how he followed Madhuri to India because she wanted to focus on her career. But his parents weren’t happy with his decision as he had a successful medical career in the US.
He shared, “I am Indian. I grew up from an immigrant start, and my parents certainly weren’t happy that I am leaving the prototypical job of a heart surgeon and kind of every Indian’s wet dream, with like perfect sort of situations and lots of friends and the head of the hospital. But I could operate, at the most, on 3-5 patients with open heart surgery and in a year maybe 500 patients.”
On the work front, Madhuri will be teaming up again with her Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-star Triptii Dimri for a comedy drama called Ma Behan. The film is expected to release on a digital platform.
