Sachin Pilgaonkar is a prominent figure in the Indian film and Television industry. With a career spanning over decades, he has delivered path-breaking performances in several regional as well as Hindi films and TV shows. The actor is now set to embark on a new journey as he came on board for the mythological show Shiridi Wale Sai Baba, but not as an actor, instead, as the Sutradhar (the narrator) and guiding voice of the show.
As a narrator, Sachin will guide viewers through each episode, explaining how Sai Baba’s simple yet powerful lessons are still vital and relevant in today’s world.
Expressing his thoughts for being a part of Shirdi Wale Sai Baba, Sachin said in a statement, “This isn’t simply another professional milestone for me; it’s something deeply devotional. I’ve always been a Sai Baba devotee, and his teachings have provided me with steady strength and guidance throughout my life,” as quoted by Pinkvilla.
He went on to say that the role of narrator was a “tribute to his faith” for him. Sachin added, “I hope to convey the simplicity, depth, and timeless relevance of Baba’s wisdom and gently remind people that his values of love, compassion, and humility are needed now more than ever.”
Shirdi Wale Sai Baba, which premiered on April 21, airs from Monday to Friday at 7 PM on Sony Entertainment Television. You can watch the show digitally on the OTT platform Sony LIV. Backed by Rajan Shahi, the show features Vineet Raina and Akshay Mhatre in the lead roles.
Talking about the show, a source told Filmibeat, “The channel has gone to great lengths to present an engaging drama in the form of Shirdi Wale Sai Baba.” From casting to visual presentation, the creators went above and beyond to captivate the audience. They’ve raised the bar with their most recent presentation. Vineet Raina will play Sai Baba. The show will take viewers on a spiritual journey along with heartwarming stories. The drama will highlight the profound lessons of Sai Baba, emphasising stories that are still relevant to Indian society.”
Coming back to Sachin, he was last seen in the Marathi comedy film Navra Maza Navsacha 2, which he also directed and produced. The film also starred celebs like Swapnil Joshi and Hemal Ingle in the leads.
