Popular television actress and breast cancer survivor Chhavi Mittal has been vocal about her struggles and victories during her tough chapter in life. Diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in April 2022, Mittal underwent surgery on April 25, 2022, and has since been inspiring viewers with her courage and determination towards her well-being. Throughout her journey, Chhavi openly shared her experiences, documenting her pains, diagnosis, surgery, and scars, and the emotional toll it took.

Now, as she has completed three years since her surgery, she shared a video montage to mark the milestone. In the heartfelt Instagram post, she offered glimpses into her fight, including moments of working out and being hospitalised.

The video opens to show Chhavi recounting the initial shock of feeling alone during her treatment, particularly as she was taken into the operating theatre. “I realised it for the first time when I was taken to the operation theatre alone, surrounded by strangers,” she shared.

She recalled being repeatedly told by a medical professional that they were doing a “lumpectomy and a mini LD flap reconstruction” surgery on her right breast. In the video, she added how her sense of humour kept her going, adding that “People can share a laugh anytime, but nobody can share the pain I went through.”

Despite the presence of loved ones, Chhavi highlighted her struggles she went through alone. “I did my physiotherapy alone. I massaged my stitches myself. I shed countless tears alone in my private moments. I was so lost, and yet I lost the support of every person I thought was in my corner.”

“But today, I’m so strong that sometimes I amaze myself. As they say, once you connect with yourself. There’s no one else you need. And I have connected with my soul. They also say that when someone cannot stay at your worst, sure as hell, they don’t deserve your best,” she added.

The video concluded with a powerful statement, with Chhavi declaring her triumph over hardship. “This post is to celebrate my victory over the demons within and without. Go away, because this little girl is three today. She’s strong, and you’re not getting a vulnerable side no more,” she said.

Sharing the deeply personal video, she captioned it, “3 years. And it feels like a lifetime. A lifetime of lessons, realisations, battles, ups n downs… I’m so, so proud of myself. It wasn’t easy. It is not easy. But as long as I have me and my sanity, I got this. Happy 3rd birthday to me! #cancerwarrior #breastcancerwarrior.”

Professionally, Chhavi Mittal is known for her stellar performance in television serials like Tumhari Disha, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann, Adaalat, Ek Chutki Aasman, Krishnadasi, and more.
