Saif Ali Khan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming action thriller film Jewel Thief, scheduled to premiere on Netflix today, April 25. Produced by Siddharth Anand, the film also features Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta in lead roles. Race
Directed by Abbas Mastan, Race is among Saif’s biggest successes of his career, marking a transition from his chocolate boy roles to more mature, serious portrayals. The suspense thriller also featured Akshaye Khanna, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu, Anil Kapoor and Sameera Reddy in important roles.
It was loosely inspired by the 1998 American thriller Goodbye Lover and explored themes of love, deceit and greed. It is available on Amazon Prime Video.
Vikram Vedha
Next on the list is the 2022 action thriller Vikram Vedha, which featured Saif in a cop role. Directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, the film was an official Hindi remake of a South film with the same title. It also starred Hrithik Roshan, Radhika Apte and Rohit Saraf in titular roles.
The film follows the story of Vikram, an honest police officer who sets out to find and hunt down a gangster named Vedha. The primary plot is based on the Indian folk tale Vikram and Betaal, in which a ruler questions a ghost-like entity. It is streaming on JioHotstar.
Race 2
After the success of the first part, the makers took Ranvir’s (Saif) story forward in the sequel, Race 2. Released in 2013, the film depicted Ranvir’s search for revenge on Armaan Malik (played by John Abraham), who killed his wife for the sake of money. Kurbaan
Talking about Saif’s best thrillers, how can we forget to mention this romantic thriller wherein the actor won the audience’s hearts with his portrayal as a terrorist? The film explores the impact of terrorism on people’s lives, specifically the Muslim community in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.
It was directed by Rensil D’Silva and also starred celebs like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Dia Mirza, Kirron Kher, Om Puri and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. The film is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Go Goa Gone
Have a knack for horror comedies? Then this Bollywood’s only (till now) zombie action comedy film should have to be on your bucket list. In the film, Saif plays the role of a Russian mafia who helps three friends Hardik, Luv, Bunny and Luna escape the dreadful zombie attack on a secluded island. Directed by Raj and DK, it also features Kunal Kemmu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari and Puja Gupta in lead. The film is available on Prime Video.
