Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a stern warning to the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack as he said that India will relentlessly pursue every terrorist and their backers. At an event in Bihar, the Prime Minister said that the nation stands united in its resolve to ensure justice is delivered.
He said, “Today, on the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world — India will identify, trace, and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth.”
The strongly-worded statement comes days after the deadly attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives. PM Modi emphasised that the spirit of India cannot be broken by terrorism. “Terrorism will not go unpunished. Every effort will be made to ensure justice is done. The entire nation is one in this resolve. Everyone who believes in humanity is with us,” he said.
Calling the attack a “cowardly and inhuman act,” PM Modi said the entire nation shares the pain of the bereaved families. He said, “Some lost their son, some a brother, some a partner. This sorrow is the sorrow of the entire nation.”
Reaffirming the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and assured that the perpetrators will face the full might of India’s response, PM Modi said, “No one will be spared—neither the ones who pulled the trigger nor the ones who plotted in the shadows.”
PM Modi also expressed gratitude to the international community. He said, “I thank the people of various countries and their leaders who have stood with us.”
The Prime Minister concluded with a firm assurance, “The punishment will be significant and stringent, which these terrorists would have never even thought about.”
