Apoorva Mukhija aka The Rebel Kid finally shares pictures with Nadaaniyan cast
Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid has been hitting the headlines for the last two months, due to her involvement in the India’s Got Latent controversy. Amidst this, she was also seen in Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor starrer Nadaaniyan, which released on 7th March on Netflix. She played the role of Khushi’s friend Rhea Vohra in the film, which marked her acting debut. While Apoorva refrained from posting pictures with the film’s cast, and was also not seen at the premiere of the film, she has now finally dropped some unseen behind-the-scenes glimpses with the cast of Nadaaniyan. She also wrote how the film came in her life at a time when she needed it the most, and needed to remind herself that she was worth something.
Apoorva Mukhija first shared a picture from a bash with her Nadaaniyan co-stars Ibrahim Ali Khan, Neel Dewan, and Aaliyah Qureishi. Meanwhile, another picture shows her posing with the film’s director Shauna Gautam. “Thank you for letting me be a part of Nadaaniyan,” she wrote. Another BTS photo with the Nadaaniyan cast also includes Khushi Kapoor. Apoorva also shared a video clip with Neel Dewan, and wrote, “We were supposed to be dating in the film but vo arc tha hi nahi final cut me. Anyway @neeldewan became my fav person on set.”
Sharing another behind-the-scenes glimpse, The Rebel Kid wrote, “Nadaaniyan came into my life when I needed it the most. I need to get out of my comfort zone and I needed to remind myself that I am worth something. I was heartbroken the first day I came on set and even though I didn’t speak to anyone the first day on set I started loving every single one of them by the end of the movie.” “Grateful to experience being a part of this movie,” she added.
Meanwhile, Apoorva Mukhija has been embroiled in India’s Got Latent controversy that erupted after a clip from the show featuring Ranveer Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps, went viral. In the clip, Allahbadia posed a highly inappropriate question to comedian Samay Raina, asking, “Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?” The question led to massive public outrage.
Following the incident, a police complaint was filed not just against Ranveer and Samay but against Apoorva too. They were accused of promoting obscene and sexually explicit content on the show, invoking multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Apoorva later broke her silence about the controversy, and shared a detailed YouTube vlog in which he addressed how it impacted her mental health. Despite the ordeal, Apoorva expressed gratitude for her close circle of friends who supported her throughout the storm.
