As many as four persons died and nearly 15 others suffered severe injuries following a collision between two vehicles on the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway in Maharashtra’s Buldhana district, said officials on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred when a tractor loaded with bricks and a Madhya Pradesh Transport Department passenger collided head-on near the Amsari village.
Officials informed CNN-News18 that three individuals riding on the tractor were killed, along with one passenger from the state transport bus.
Further, around 15 passengers on the passenger bus sustained serious injuries, said officials, adding that they were rushed to nearby local hospitals, with some referred to Khamgaon Hospital for advanced treatment.
