Maybe it’s a little early, but admit it or not, this is the year of Rashmika Mandanna! After basking in the success of Chhaava and filming her first project with Salman Khan in Sikandar, the actor is now back to work. Updating fans that she has resumed work in Thama, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana, she posted a photo of the moonlit night from the film’s sets.
Rashmika posted a black-and-white photo on Instagram with a partial glimpse of an opulent stone monument. With the moon shining brightly, the photo is sure to give you chills, perfectly aligning with the film’s ‘vampire’ storyline. “Like I said, only kind of photos I can show you is.. moons and lights,” she wrote with a laughter and red heart emoji, along with the hashtag, ‘Thama’. Rashmika, who is mostly shooting in the nights, complying to Thama’s storyline, has been one with nature and sharing photos of the moon during her break on sets. Previously, sharing a similar story on Instagram, the actor wrote, “Shooting nights for the next couple of days..So the only posts and stories you’ll get of us is of either the moon or the camera lights or the stars (which in our city is impossible to see) Agreed?”
Prior to that, she shared a glimpse from another night shoot and also revealed how her director is keeping Thama (vampire) happy. Taking to her Instagram stories, Rashmika shared a photo featuring director, Aditya A Sarpotdar, sitting on a plastic chair and monitoring the shoot on a screen. She wrote: “My director…. Making me shoot night shoot every time…. Ice bucket …. Story of my life.” Resharing the photo, the director commented, “Where mortals fear the night, the vampires find their power.’ Rashmika replied, “Wise words. Knows exactly how to make a Thama (vampire) happy!”
Thama is eyeing a Diwali release and is scheduled to hit the theatres on October 19, 2025.
