CID fans, rejoice! If you thought ACP Pradyuman’s journey ended with his emotional farewell in CID 2, think again. According to a new report, Shivaji Satam is all set to return to the show, and his character is very much alive.
Yes, you heard that right! A TellyChakkar report suggests that the makers are planning a dramatic re-entry for the beloved ACP. His earlier exit had sparked disappointment among longtime viewers who couldn’t imagine CID without its iconic lead. After all, Shivaji Satam’s ACP Pradyuman has been the heart and soul of the franchise since its inception.
The makers reportedly took note of the massive fan backlash and emotional response to the character’s supposed death. Now, in response to overwhelming public demand, they are crafting a special comeback arc for him. While the exact storyline is still under wraps, fans can expect to see Satam on-screen again in the upcoming episodes.
Meanwhile, actor Parth Samthaan, who has joined CID 2 as a new character, had earlier admitted he was nervous about stepping into a show with such an iconic legacy. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Parth revealed that he initially turned down the offer.
“But the makers asked me to reconsider. I was also hesitant due to the show’s long-standing cast and the fact that they’d have to address me as ‘sir’ on screen. It felt a bit unusual and awkward,” Parth shared.
He added, “I was waiting for the right opportunity to make my comeback on TV. I was offered a few scripts, but they were all similar, romantic roles. When this show was offered to me, I decided to take on the challenge.”
CID 2 continues to retain some of its original star cast, including Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Srivastav, Hrishikesh Pandey, and Ajay Nagrath. With Shivaji Satam reportedly returning, fans are now looking forward to seeing their favourite crime-solving team reunite once again.
