Akshay Kumar, who is ready to feature in Kesari Chapter 2, recently attended the film’s press conference in Mumbai. The actor was accompanied by his co-star Ananya Panday, alongside the movie’s director, Karan Singh Tyagi. Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, the producers of Kesari Chapter 2, were also present. Now, a video of Akshay and Karan having a friendly chat with the guests at the venue has surfaced on the internet.
The clip, posted on Instagram by a media portal, captured Akshay Kumar shaking hands with one of the attendees and greeting them politely. The actor gave a high-five to a woman before breaking into a hearty smile. Karan Johar also interacted warmly with the people.

At the press conference, Akshay Kumar reacted to a remark made by Jaya Bachchan. When a journalist told the actor that Jaya Bachchan had disapproved of the title of his 2017 film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Akshay had a befitting reply.
Akshay Kumar said, “Mujhe nahi lagta hai kisi ne criticise kiya hai woh filmon ko… Aap hi bata dijiye, jaise Toilet: Ek Prem Katha hai, Airlift hai, Kesari 1 banayi thi, Kesari 2 hai. Aisi bohot saari filmein hain, toh koi bewakoof hi hoga jo iss filmon ko criticise karega. Maine apne dil se banayi hai. Aur ek film hI hai jo ki logo ko bohot saari cheezein batati hai, samjhati hai, koi bhi film ho. (I don’t think anyone has criticised those films… You tell me—films like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Airlift, I made Kesari, now there’s Kesari 2. There are so many such films, that only a fool would criticise them. I’ve made them from the heart. And each film conveys a lot to people and teaches them something, no matter which film it is.)
He added, “Ab agar unhone ne kaha hai toh fir sahi hoga. Agar Toilet: Ek Pren Katha film banake maine koi galat kaam kiya toh fir agar vo keh rahe honge toh sahi hoga. (If she has said so, she’s right. If I’d made a mistake by making such a film, she might be right.)”
Jaya Bachchan, who recently attended the India Today conclave, revealed that she had reservations about watching Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. She said, “Just look at the title of the film; I would never go to watch a film with such a name. Yeh koi naam hai? (Is that really a name?)” The film veteran also called the movie a “flop”.
Coming to Kesari Chapter 2, the film is the sequel to the 2019 movie Kesari. It will premiere theatrically on April 18.
