Iulia Vantur spoke about the emotional support she received from Salman Khan while working on the intense scene of Sikandar. As part of this emotional sequence, she sang a rendition of the classic “Lag Ja Gale Se Phir.” Reflecting on her journey, Iulia acknowledged the crucial role Salman played in her growth as an artist, especially when doubts clouded her path.
“The emotional support is very important for everybody. To have somebody who believes in your voice. He was one person who believed in my voice and my talent. He encouraged me to do this, when I doubted myself,” Iulia said. She admitted that there were times when her work wasn’t immediately embraced by the audience. “There were moments when I wasn’t received so well. I understand,” she added.
Despite the challenges, Iulia was grateful for the unwavering support she received from Salman and others around her. “I was coming out of nowhere, singing Hindi songs. At the same time, I had those people who were really trusting me. They were really believing in myself more than I did. That was so important for me. I’m really grateful for that. It is important to have that emotional support,” she shared. The support system she had, especially from Salman, helped her overcome the doubts she faced.
Iulia also spoke about the importance of having a strong support system, especially when stepping into the spotlight. “It’s important to have those people who are there for you. I feel blessed,” she added. While she had the opportunity to showcase her talent on a big platform, the emotional support she received was just as essential in navigating the pressures that came with being in the public eye.
She also reflected on the fears that came with performing solo, saying, “I had a platform to showcase my talent. Of course, when you’re so visible, you have two sides, right? You have to deal with both of them. But there is nobody else when you’re on the stage. You’ll have to deal with that.”
