Salman Khan is still ruling the box office! His action-packed entertainer Sikandar continues to pull in the crowds, and as of Day 9, the film has raked in a solid Rs 104.25 crore despite it being a weekday. Sikandar also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role.
As per trade reports, Sikandar earned an estimated Rs 1.75 crore net on Monday in India, taking its total to Rs 104.25 crore. Meanwhile, L2: Empuraan matched the figure with Rs 1.75 crore on the same day, bringing its overall collection to Rs 100.10 crore net — putting it in close competition with Sikandar at the box office.
Sikandar kicked off its box office journey with a strong Rs 26 crore opening on Eid, March 30. By its first Friday, it had raked in Rs 93.75 crore, followed by Rs 4 crore on Saturday and Rs 4.5 crore on Sunday, pushing it past the Rs 100 crore mark in India by Day 8. The film is now eyeing the Rs 200 crore milestone globally.
Last year’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan wrapped up with Rs 184.6 crore worldwide, but Tiger 3—despite not being an Eid release—stormed ahead with Rs 464 crore globally. It remains to be seen how Sikandar fares.
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the action-packed film features a star-studded cast, including Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, and Sharman Joshi. The story follows Salman’s character, Sikandar, on a relentless mission to seek justice and protect the three individuals who received organ donations from his late wife.
