Rajkummar Rao, Wamiqa Gabbi in Bhool Chuk Maaf
Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi are set to share screen space for the first time in a romantic comedy, Bhool Chuk Maaf. The film, slated for release on May 9, has been grabbing attention for its impressive storyline. Well, now it is reported that the makers have planned to shoot two new songs at the last minute.
Mid-day has quoted a source saying, “What made the director add two songs at the last minute? From what we’ve heard, both Sharma and producer Dinesh Vijan apparently felt they would increase the entertainment quotient of the comedy, which revolves around Rao’s character who is stuck in a time loop a day before his wedding. Of the two songs, Rajkummar and Wamiqa filmed one on March 29 at a studio in Mira Road. A set depicting a small-town street was built for the vibrant track. It’s a peppy promotional number composed by Tanishk Bagchi.”
“Rajkummar and Wamiqa will head to Varanasi in mid-April. With the film revolving around the couple’s impending wedding, this one will have a romantic bachelorette party vibe. Both the songs are choreographed by Vijay Ganguly, with costumes by Sheetal Sharma,” adds the source.
Recently, a new video was also released. The promo, shared on Instagram, features Rajkummar as Ranjan expressing his distress for not getting married to the love of his life, Titli (played by Wamiqa), despite multiple tries as the wedding gets stuck to the Haldi ceremony.
Sharing the video, the actor wrote in the caption, “Hum hain Ranjan aur Hamara toh har din hi April Fools’ jaisa kat raha hai. Pata chalega 9th May ko! #BhoolChukMaaf sabhi cinema-gharon mein 9th May se.”
Set in Varanasi, the film follows Ranjan, a hopeless romantic who takes a government job to win over his love, Titli. But, just before the wedding, fate throws a setback, reversing his world in the most unexpected way. What follows is a humorous yet heartfelt journey through love, destiny, and second chances.
Apart from this, Rajkummar will also be seen in the comedy film Toaster, a gangster drama Maalik and a horror comedy Stree 3 in his kitty.
