Rajkummar Rao resorted to social media to praise Soha Ali Khan and Nushrratt Bharuccha for their work in Chhorii 2. The actor took to Instagram to reshare a trailer for the film and wrote, “Soha Ali Khan this looks fab, Nushrratt Bharuccha kamaal hai Chhori.” followed by a red heart and folded hand emoji. The makers recently released the trailer for the upcoming horror-comedy. Soha appears to be playing a negative role, while Nushrratt fights against superstition.
The sequel to the Indian horror film heightens the tension as it follows Nushrratt Bharuccha’s character Sakshi, who faces an even more terrifying battle against otherworldly forces endangering her daughter Ishani. Directed by Vishal Furia, Chhorii 2 trailer begins with Nushrratt Bharuccha in the field looking for a child. She can hear voices but can’t find them. Her nightmares are taking her back to the field where she escaped the last time. The trailer successfully creates a more intense mood than its predecessor, transporting viewers into undiscovered underground caves where sinister things wait in the darkness.
Abundantia Entertainmenthas produced the sequel to Chhorii. An official release date for the film has yet to be confirmed. It will debut on the OTT platform Prime Video. Chhorii, which was released in 2021, follows the narrative of Sakshi, a pregnant lady who finds refuge in a distant village only to be faced by terrifying supernatural forces. The movie is a remake of the 2017 Marathi film Lapachhapi. It dives into issues of societal evil and parenthood while delivering spine-chilling horror.
