Hina Khan and Gippy Grewal’s bond, which began during their collaboration on Shinde Shinde No Papa, continues to grow stronger. Recently, Hina reunited with Gippy and his family, sharing heartwarming photos from their get-together with fans.

In an emotional Instagram post, Hina expressed her deep gratitude to Gippy and his wife for their unwavering support during her challenging health journey. She praised Gippy not only as a talented artist but also as a compassionate friend, highlighting the special prayers they held for her before her surgery.

“About last night… Met with my extended family who has always been there. Gippy, you are a pure soul with a golden heart. Especially YOU, my darling Rav @ravneetgrewalofficial — from the moment you heard about my diagnosis, you never stopped checking in on me. I’ll never forget the special Path and Ardaas you held before my surgery,” Hina wrote.

Hina also applauded Gippy’s efforts to bridge Punjabi cinema with Bollywood, celebrating his upcoming film Akaal, which is set to make history as the first Punjabi movie to be distributed in Hindi across India, backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

She lauded Gippy Grewal for his efforts in taking Punjabi cinema to new heights. She wrote, “Big Big Congratulations @gippygrewal for connecting the PUNJABI film industry with BOLLYWOOD in the BIGGEST way possible..Bestest wishes for AKAAL Tusi to chaa gaye Dher saara pyaar always.”

Gippy Grewal not only stars in Akaal, but also directs and writes. The film also stars Nimrat Khaira, Apinderdeep Singh, Mita Vashisht, Prince Kanwaljit Singh, Nikitin Dheer, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Shinda Grewal, Ekom Grewal, and Jaggi Singh.

Speaking about the new film, Gippy Grewal shared, “Bringing the stories of our Sikh warriors to the screen is a passion project for me. With Dharma Productions’ support, we can ensure that ‘Akaal’ transcends linguistic barriers and reaches every corner of India, highlighting the strength and bravery of our heritage,” as quoted by Bollywood Hungama. Akaal is set to open in theatres on April 10, 2025, and is expected to be a game-changer in Punjabi cinema.
