Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, faced severe backlash in February after making an inappropriate comment on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. Since then, he has kept a low profile on social media. Following the controversy, rumours of his breakup with Nikki Sharma began circulating, though the couple never confirmed their relationship.
Over a month after the debacle, Nikki Sharma has chosen to stay tight-lipped about the situation. In a recent video shared by paparazzo Viral Bhayani on Instagram, Nikki was asked how she handles media attention when a close friend is in trouble. Dodging the question gracefully, she responded, “I don’t answer unknown calls,” effectively avoiding any comment on Ranveer or the controversy.
Prior to the IGL fiasco, Ranveer and Nikki were often spotted together on secret vacations, with their Instagram posts giving subtle hints. However, after the controversy, they reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram, fuelling breakup rumours.
Earlier this month, Ranveer appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) to address the controversy. NCW Chief Vijaya Rahatkar revealed that Ranveer expressed deep regret and submitted a written apology, admitting that his comments were inappropriate and assuring that he wouldn’t repeat such behavior.
In a slight relief for Ranveer, the Supreme Court has now permitted him to resume his podcast, The Ranveer Show, which was temporarily halted due to the controversy. The court ruled, “As of now, petitioners were restrained from airing any shows. Subject to the petitioner furnishing an undertaking that his podcast shows will maintain the desired standards of morality and decency so that viewers of any age group can watch, the petitioner is permitted to resume the Ranveer Show.”
While Ranveer attempts to navigate the aftermath of the controversy, Nikki’s decision to stay silent on the matter has only added fuel to the speculation surrounding their relationship status.
