Celebrity MasterChef, the Farah Khan-hosted cooking-based reality show, is heading towards its grand finale with contestants putting their best foot forward to reserve their spot in the top 5. In a recent episode, TV actress Hina Khan and her boyfriend Rocky Jaiswal appeared on the show as celebrity guests. During her appearance, the Bigg Boss 11 fame interacted with the contestants but her heartfelt exchange with Gaurav Khanna caught eyeballs.
Talking to Hina, the Anupamaa fame reflected on his journey on Celebrity MasterChef and stated, “I remember my first week when I made a dish using brinjal. Honestly, I had never eaten or cooked it before. When the judges tried it, their reactions said it all—Farah ma’am couldn’t even eat it.”
Hina, who was left impressed by the actor’s growth on the reality show, replied, “But look at you now! You are an inspiration for all the men out there.” Her words inspired Gaurav and the other finalists, emphasising how dedication and a willingness to learn can lead to great results.
Earlier, in one of the episodes of Celebrity MasterChef, Gaurav shared his three reasons for being a part of the cooking-based reality show. First, the actor stated that anytime he takes on a show, he strives to achieve something different. Therefore, coming on a food show was something completely unexpected for his viewers. He went on to add, “Number two, I am a foodie; mein chahta tha khana kaise banta hai, uske intricacies kya hote hai, to uske liye Masterchef se better mujhe nahi lagta koi bhi food show ho sakta hai (I wanted to discover the complexities of cooking. So, what’s better than MasterChef?”
The third reason that prompted him to take up Celebrity MasterChef was that the show has been shown in several countries since the 1990s, and he believes it is something that has attracted viewers for many years.
Apart from Gaurav, the other remaining contestants on Celebrity MasterChef include Nikki Tamboli, Rajiv Adatia, Faisal Shaikh, Tejasswi Prakash and Usha Nadkarni. It is judged by star Chefs Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar. The show premieres on Sony TV from Monday to Friday at 8 PM.
