Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer action thriller Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is gearing up for a grand re-release in theatres on March 21, 2025. The film has been creating a lot of buzz ahead of its re-release. Well, Sacnik has reported that the action drama has crossed Rs 1 crore mark for its first day.
Sacnik has mentioned in its report that the advance booking for the re-release of the movie was opened on March 13 and it is seeing easily the best response for any re-release title in India. In the 5 days so far, the movie has sold 55K+ tickets on Book My Show for all days. For the opening day alone, it has sold tickets worth 1+ crore which is fantastic. The report also claims that with 3 days left for the re-release, Salaar is expected to emerge as the biggest re-release opener at the Indian box office.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, the man behind KGF, the film took the box office by storm during its initial release, with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran delivering a larger-than-life cinematic experience. From jaw-dropping action sequences to intense performances, Salaar had everything fans could ask for.
In fact, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire recently set a new benchmark by trending continuously on OTT platforms for an entire year. The film has captivated audiences worldwide since its release. Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu were also seen in the pivotal role. The film has been trending continuously for 366 days on OTT platforms.
Salaar grossed over Rs 700 crore at the box office, cementing its status as a massive blockbuster. Its record-breaking success continued on television, where its Hindi premiere attracted an incredible 30 million viewers.
Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is a 2023 Telugu epic action drama film. Set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, where monarchy still reigns, the film delves into the deep bond between Deva (Prabhas), a prince forced into exile, and Varadha (Prithviraj Sukumaran), the reigning heir to the throne. As betrayal brews within the palace, with ministers and royal relatives conspiring to overthrow him, Varadha turns to Deva for help in securing his rightful place as Khansaar’s ultimate ruler.
