Kangana Ranaut directorial ‘Emergency’ began streaming on Netflix from 14th March 2025, two months post its theatrical release. The film has now reached a wider audience through the OTT platform, and those who watched the film recently have been sharing their views about it. Kangana, who attended a session in Parliament today, revealed that someone from opposition praised her performance in Emergency. While the actress did not reveal who it was, she did share the person’s hand-written note, with a signature. She shared that it was a lovely gesture that brought a smile to her face.
On Monday, Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram stories to share a picture of the hand-written note that she received from someone from opposition. The note read, “Hey, saw Emergency yesterday you are tooooo good! Love.” At the end, there’s a signature, but it is difficult to decipher who it is. The actress wrote that the note of appreciation came to her quietly and that it made her smile. “A little note of appreciation from the other side quitely came to me…. and made me smile warmly #emergency #parliamentday,” she wrote. Directed and co-produced by Kangana Ranaut, the film stars her as former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. Besides Ranaut, Emergency also stars Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Mahima Chaudhry as Pupul Jayakar, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and Vishak Nair as Sanjay Gandhi.

The actress took to her social media to announce the wrap-up, and shared a happy picture with the team as they concluded the shoot. This film marks the actress’ reunion with Madhavan, almost a decade after their 2015 film ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’. It is a pan-India psychological thriller directed by A.L Vijay, and the actress had announced the film in 2023.
