An auto driver in Bengaluru, whose video showing him smashing a car window and verbally abusing the driver went viral, has now been booked by the city police.
The incident, which took place on a busy road, raised serious concerns about road rage and reckless behaviour. Many social media users expressed their anger, urging the police to take strict action against such individuals.
In response, the Commercial Street Police confirmed on Monday that the matter had been addressed, with the auto driver now booked in a police complaint.
“Zero tolerance for road rage. our teem took action immediately and also PAR 02/2025 has been registered against the accused. Reckless behavior on the road puts lives at risk-drive responsibly,” the Commercial Street Police shared in a post on X.
The viral video, recorded by someone in the back seat of the car, shows the auto-rickshaw driver aggressively pounding on the car’s window and hurling abuses at the driver.
Although the exact cause of the altercation remains unclear and where exactly it happened, the video quickly gained traction on social media platforms, with many condemning the driver’s actions.
